Two performances of Big Bad Wolfe! will take place in Denver on Saturday, September 21, 2013, through “Stories on Stage.” Individual tickets are now available for the 1:30 and 7:30 shows. Click over to our Upcoming Events page for further information.
Also, René will be heard as one of the voice performers on an upcoming videogame based on the cartoon Ben 10.
We’ve confirmed two more upcoming conventions appearances for René during this busy 20th anniversary year for DS9 – Nashville on September 8 and Indianapolis over Thanksgiving, November 29 to December 1. Find full details and links on our Upcoming Events page.
René has confirmed that he has been invited to be a guest at the London Film and Comic Con at the beginning of July. We’ve posted details and a link to their website on our Upcoming Events page.
This summer, we have an opportunity to see René perform his one-man play, Big Bad Wolfe! at the Guild Hall in East Hampton, New York. Click through to our Upcoming Events page for more information.
René has added another convention appearance to his schedule for this spring: Comicpalooza, a big comics con in Houston, Texas. Find more details and a link to the event website on our Upcoming Events page.
Watch for René in a guest role on The Good Wife as a coroner in the episode, “Invitation to an Inquest,” which aired on March 17; if you missed it, look for it on the show’s the official website.
René recently completed work on a film project titled Evermore for the Canon Imagination project, and has also recorded a guest voice for another episode of the FX cartoon series Archer. As soon as we hear more about either project, we’ll post the information here.
Look for René at Creation Entertainment’s Grand Slam convention on the weekend of February 15-17, as well as at conventions in the Philadelphia area and Chicago in the spring. René has filmed two episodes of the new sitcom 1600 Penn, playing the role of White House staff member “Winslow Hannum”. The series is scheduled to premiere on January 10, 2013, and René’s first appearance will likely be around the fourth episode of the series. Watch your local listings or NBC.com for further updates.
René’s next performance with Selected Shorts was Sunday, December 9 in Berkeley, California, where he’ll be reading Frank O’Connor’s “Christmas Morning.” Read more in this Playbill article; a link for ticket information is at the bottom of the article and on our Upcoming Events page.

In mid-August, René filmed a brief guest appearance on NCIS as “Dr. Felix Blackwell”. Their new season is scheduled to being on September 25, and René’s episode will probably be about the third one of the season. As soon as we know the precise air date, we’ll post that here; you can also keep an eye on the NCIS website for updated information.
René’s next guest appearance on Warehouse 13 in the episode “There’s Always a Downside” looks like it’s been scheduled for Monday, August 13. Don’t miss it!
Here’s another opportunity to say hello to René in person; he has been invited to be one of the guests at Destination Star Trek London, a convention taking place October 19-21 at the ExCel convention and exhibition center in London. René will be reading several pieces at Wall-to-Wall: Gertrude’s Paris, an all-day program presented by Symphony Space in New York City on Saturday, May 5. The event is FREE and will include readings of prose and poetry interspersed with musical performances. For more details, check out our Upcoming Events page.
René’s been invited to be one of several dozen guests at “The Greatest Show in the Galaxy,” a sci-fi convention taking place in Peterborough, England, on the weekend of May 12-13. Read more on our Upcoming Events page!
Great news for fans of René’s work on the 1980s sitcom Benson: at long last, it looks like Season 2 (the first season in whicn René’s character, Clayton Endicott III, joined the cast) is going to be available on DVD! It was first offered for sale in early April at WBShop.com, but apparently there were some technical glitches and the offer has been removed. However, it is now listed at Amazon.com as available for preorder, with an estimated release of May 1. If you’re interested in acquiring a copy for yourself, check one or both of those sites for the latest updates.
In late February, René filmed a guest role on Grey’s Anatomy in the episode “Support System,” and in March, he will be reprising his role as “Hugo Miller” for Warehouse 13 in the episode “There’s Always a Downside”.
