Facebook: René was NOT active on Facebook. There is no official page.

A long-time member of René’s fan club, ORACLE, has set up an excellent Tumblr account that René was aware of and enjoyed, which you can find at therene.tumbler.

We first established a Twitter account for René several years ago, which we used to post updates about René’s activities — Tweet-length versions of the sort of information we posted on our What’s New page. Starting in August 2014 and until his death, René enjoyed writing Tweets himself and generally having fun interacting with his fans.

If you’re on the app once known as Twitter, we had planned to maintain the Twitter account as a place for fans and friends to converse – unfortunately, the site has changed for the worse in recent months, and at present (summer 2023) we have stopped participating there.

As for Facebook, several people have set up “celebrity” pages there using René’s name. However, René himself did not participate in any way on Facebook. Any photos or bits of information that appear on Facebook were collected by the account owners from various sources around the Web.
